Microbial biogeochemistry across scales of space, time and ecological organization
The human impact on the structure and function of Earth’s ecosystems is shifting biogeochemical and climate patterns, but there remains considerable uncertainty regarding the stability of natural and managed systems under a changing climate. It is this pressing issue that motivates my research, with an overarching aim of improving our predictions of ecosystem stability under future climate scenarios using existing datasets across microbial ecology, geochemistry and Earth Science.
